Trauma-exposed workplaces are environments where employees may encounter or be affected by traumatic events, whether through their own experiences or through the experiences of others they support. Examples of trauma-exposed workplaces include healthcare, behavioral health, child welfare, law enforcement, legal, education, and social services. Individuals exposed to trauma in the workplace can experience emotional strain, moral distress and secondary traumatic stress (STS). Recognizing addressing the impact of trauma is essential for promoting employee well-being and creating a supportive culture.
My aim is to provide valuable training, and support designed to help with the recognition, management, and mitigation of the effects of STS, in order to create a healthier environment for both the workforce and those they serve.
